SWEET TUESDAY

CARROT CAKE & L'AMANT (The Lover)

I am having a slice of homemade carrot cake
(baked using Philkraft pan)
with peppermint tea whilst watching
the movie entitled "L'Amant " (The Lover, 1929),
starring Jane March and Tony Leung Ka Fai
and directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud.
The film is about the forbidden love about
a 17 year old French teenager
and a 32 year old wealthy Chinese man.
Whether they fell true love for each other or not,
despite the difference in age,
culture and status in life, is what makes this movie
worthwhile to watch.

“And then he told her - he had told her that
he would never stop loving her,
that he would love her until his death.

FRIDAY LEFT-OVERS

 TACOS

Thank God it's friday! It's left-over fridays so, here's what i'm making for dinner.

What do I have in my fridge:

mexican taco shells
carrots
cucumber
cheese
shrimps

I grated the carrots, cubed the cucumbers, grated the cheese, steamed the shrimps using philkraft pan.  I placed everything inside the taco shells, and voila!...light tacos for dinner!

And for dessert, I had fresh fruits and nuts

while listening to David Garrett, the Violinist-Rocker, the "David Beckham" of violin, and the fastest violinist in the world, play "He's a Pirate".

This is a blog about food and food photography. This is also a place where I chronicle my culinary adventures using the revolutionary philkraft pan,

in baking and eating out.

And since i'm enjoying food photography,
I've started taking pictures of food;
I also started accumulating food photo props,
like the lovely plates and bowls below.
These are from my pink collection...
